After successfully summiting Mt. Elbrus, my team—comprising a Ghanaian, a Nigerian, and myself, a Kenyan—had the honor of receiving a courtesy invitation to the Ghanaian Embassy in Moscow, Russia. We were warmly welcomed by Her Excellency Ambassador Oheneba Lesley Akyaa Opoku Ware. Our discussions spanned topics of mountaineering and our shared ambition of conquering the 7 summits of the world. This visit not only strengthened diplomatic relations between our African nations but also provided a unique opportunity to network and explore ways in which we, as Africans, can leverage opportunities abroad to positively impact our home countries.
